Teachers needed for 2008/2009 academic year The Miraloma Educational Enrichment Program after school program seeks part time Teachers for 2008/2009 academic year. Instructors must have experience working with elementary age students. The instructors will also work as part of the Miraloma Educational Enrichment Program team which oversees 100 to 125 students. The instructors will meet with our Executive Director once a month for a thorough report of student progress. Also, s/he will meet with parents during our “Parent Conferences” week. Developing a cohesive curriculum in collaboration with the day teachers and monthly written progress reports for the parents will be the essential responsibilities of this position.
Required Qualifications:
California Teacher Credentials or Multiple Subject Credentials or MA in education (required) 2 to 5 years of experience teaching elementary students.
Enjoys creating a playful fun learning environment, while commanding respect and discipline.
Interest in creating new programs and lessons.
Gets excited at others’ accomplishments.
Is expressive and animated.
Ability to incorporate various teaching methods and accommodate different learning styles.
Understands and delivers age appropriate instructions.
Great interpersonal communication skills.
Art, music, dance, sports, and other skills / talents (a plus).
Hours: 1:00-6:30 p.m.
Compensation: DOE Benefits: After 90 days Medical, dental vision, paid holidays are offered to our employees.

Miraloma Educational Enrichment Program located at Miraloma Elementary School is an academic and tutorial program for students from K-5. Our main purpose is to provide a stimulating and an enriching academic environment.
