Faculty

Kindergarten Teacher

Daniel Layer (MEEP K Teacher/Coordinator)- Daniel earned his Master of Arts in Teaching from Western Governors University. Daniel has also earned his Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, Concentration in Education Methodologies from New College of California: His studies also gave him the opportunity to travel and study abroad in both the Middle East and the United Kingdom. Daniel has been a teacher at MEEP for the past 5 years.

1st Grade Teachers

Ann Klass (MEEP 1st Grade Teacher)- Ann recently graduated from Buffalo State College in Buffalo, New York with a major in Childhood Education. She also received her New York State Teaching Certificate and is in the process of gaining her California credentials. While in Buffalo, she worked as much as she could with children. She was a camp counselor, reading mentor, and tutor. Ann looks forward to an exciting school year and is thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work with the students in MEEP. It is her hope to provide these students with fun and engaging activities that allow them to use their creativity and imagination.  

Stephanie Wallace (MEEP 1st Grade Assistant Teacher)- Stephanie’s passion has been always to work with young children. Stephanie is a current student who has completed her Early Childhood Education units .Ms. Wallace is currently in the process of completing her course work to obtain her Ca. Teaching Certificate in the near future.

2nd Grade Teacher

Kimberly Oentojo (MEEP 2nd Grade Teacher)- Kimberly recently received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Seattle Pacific University with a Washington State Teaching Credential in Elementary Education and is currently in the process of receiving her California State Teaching Credential. She received her bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley with a major in Psychology and minor in Business. During her student teaching in Seattle, she gained experience teaching full-time in a 3rd grade classroom. She has also had various opportunities working with children ranging from grades K-5. Kimberly is looking forward to an exciting year with the students here at MEEP.


3rd Grade Teachers

Ray Dellosa (MEEP 3rd Grade Teacher)- Ray joined MEEP in 2005 as an Assistant Teacher then as sports coordinator, now as lead teacher of the 3rd Grade Class. He has passed his CBEST in order to earn his Ca. Credentials. Originally wanting to become an English Teacher, he has turned his focus on early child development. His time with MEEP has been punctuated with moments of chaotic fun on the soccer field, riotous sessions rockin’ out in the auditorium, and challenging games of chess in the cafeteria (he’s never lost to any student).  Besides forming a rock band with the Fifth Graders, making a music video of the MEEP kids, and introducing them to new versions of the classic games of tag and dodge ball, he helps with the occasional odd job that helps the program run smoothly and efficiently. In the past ten years, Ray (a.k.a. Mr. Ray, Coach Ray), has been working with school age children, whether they are typically developing or with special needs, volunteering in a Saturday morning inclusion soccer camp E-Soccer, coaching a soccer team, tutoring in reading, supervising during lunch time, or giving guitar lessons. The most rewarding moments at MEEP for Ray have been when he sees children being considerate of each other, performing music, or just simply understanding a new idea. This will be Ray’s 5th year with MEEP.

Sandra Durand (MEEP 3rd Grade Assistant Teacher)- Ms. Durand born and raised in Peru, moved to the U.S. in 2002. Sandra earned her Bachelor Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Lima. Her vast experience gave her the opportunity to teach Spanish at Harvey Milk, St. Patrick‘s Elementary and at Miraloma Elementary School.  Additionally, her passion for dance has led her to study the art of Flamenco Dance for the past 4 years.  Ms. Durand will teach Flamenco to students from the Miraloma Community this year as well as her duties as an Assistant Teacher at MEEP. Currently, she is working on earning her Ca. Credentials to continue her career in the field of Education.


4th Grade Teachers

Sarah Wells (MEEP 5th Grade Teacher)- Sarah has spent the last two summers as the Art Instructor for Camp EDMO in the Noe Valley location, and has been pursuing a graduate degree at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto.  Additionally Sarah has passed  the CBEST examination to continue her endeavors in the field of education and to complete her Ca. Credentials. As an educator, she loves to share her passion for life-long learning with the students, and focuses greatly on creative development through writing, the arts, imagination, movement, and personal interactions.  Hailing from her native Florida, Sarah graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 2005, after which she taught English in Yanjiao, China and worked as a youth advocate in the Peacemaker program, which serviced elementary school-aged children and promoted the values of diversity, communication, empathy, self-esteem building, problem-solving, and curiosity.  This will Sarah’s first year at MEEP.

Patricia Nolan (MEEP Assistant Teacher/Dance Teacher)- Patricia has been at MEEP for the last 4 years. She is a current student at Skyline Community College majoring in Education and Psychology. Patricia is in the process of transferring to SFUSD to complete her education. Every year Patricia choreographs dance pieces for our students from 1st-5th grades. To showcase during our annual holiday shows in December. 

5th Grade Teacher

Diane Angst (MEEP  5th Grade Lead Teacher)- Diane graduated from UC Berkeley and is a credentialed teacher who has taught at schools around the Bay Area. Nominated for UCSD’s outstanding educator award, Diane is a dedicated professional who believes in the ability of all students to learn. She is constantly amazed and delighted by helping her students learn something new. In addition to teaching at MEEP, she is also a substitute teacher for SFUSD and has coached kindergarten soccer. When Diane is not at school, she spends her time with her family. This is Diane’s second year at MEEP.

Spanish Teacher

Destination Imagination Teacher

Diane Angst (MEEP  Destination Imagination Teacher)- Diane graduated from UC Berkeley and is a credentialed teacher who has taught at schools around the Bay Area. Nominated for UCSD’s outstanding educator award, Diane is a dedicated professional who believes in the ability of all students to learn. When Diane is not at school, she spends her time with her family. This is Diane’s second year at MEEP.

Administration Staff 

Pamela Robinson (MEEP Director of Operations)- Pamela joined MEEP in 1985. She has been one of the co founders that helped MEEP achieve its mission as an afterschool program. Pamela received her Child development and Facility Administrative permit from City College. Pamela was also the Miraloma librarian from 2002-2007. Pamela started at MEEP as an Assistant teacher with only 15 students. Over the years  Pamela has been one of the key educators whose input has grown MEEP to what it is today!

Jacynth Roberts (MEEP Executive Assistant)- Jacynth Roberts received her MFA in Writing from the University of New South Wales in 2002 and is currently an Executive Assistant at MEEP as well as a K-5th grade tutor in writing, reading, and homework. She has taught First through Fourth Grades and was a Camp Director for Camp Galileo for three years.  She lives and writes in El Granada and finds the constant fogginess a welcome muse.
 
Armen Dilanchian (MEEP Excecutive Director/CEO)- Armen has been the Chief Administrative Director/CEO of the MEEP program at Miraloma over the past 12 years. He is also the founder and CEO of Tutors R Us, LLC. He earned his Masters of Fine Arts from SFSU and his BA from Westminster College. Additionally Armen was a doctoral candidate at USF in the department of Education. He taught as a Teacher and an Assistant Teacher at the Convent of the Sacred Heart in San Francisco for period of 3 years prior to joining MEEP. Armen also is the founder of InFocus Film and Theatre group which is still active in producing small films and Theatre pieces in the Bay Area. Their last project a short film titled “Blind Fate” was screened at several cable television shows in Southern California.
